Thanksgiving in the Prescott AZ area
After a spending week in and around Sedona, the day before Thanksgiving we pulled out
and headed to Prescott AZ.
The down town area of Prescott was really interesting with it's well preserved town square and buildings dating back to the mining haydays of the late 1800's
The history of the saloons, brothels and underground tunnels that were used
during the era of prohibition make for some interesting history.
Unfortunately poor afternoon lighting and trees in the town square made it difficult to get
decent photos of the building exteriors
If you're find ever in the Prescott area it is definitely worth going a trip to the old town square
So maybe you think that living in a motorhome that is approximately 300 sq. ft. means
Thanksgiving dinner comes frozen from Swanson?
Maybe we have Turkey McNuggets??
You would be wrong...
.
Even with a smaller oven (Debbie calls it my Easy Bake Oven) I was still able to turn out
a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings
A smaller oven just means a smaller turkey (11 lbs.)
After smelling the turkey cooking this turkey was ready for dinner
After spending Thanksgiving day eating, Friday was a day to get out and hike
the Granite Dells and Watson Lake area
Cool air temps and a warm sun made for a great day hiking and rock hopping
