Coeur d' Alene Idaho

Coeur d' Alene Idaho

Stopped off in Post Falls Idaho so we could visit Coeur d' Alene Idaho and Spokane Washington.

Since we haven't seen a Cracker Barrel Colorado,.. well we just had to stop in for breakfast.

It being August 20, it was good to see that the Christmas tree was up and we could buy our
Christmas decorations. We wouldn't want to wait until it is too late..... like in November.

Coeur d' Alene Idaho is one of those beautiful areas of the country with super friendly locals.
I would put it on our list of possible places to settle down when we are finished traveling but as we travel we find more beautiful places with a great quality of life.

The downtown area if charming with it's shops, the marina and parks.
The lake is 25 miles long with float planes taking off and landing regularly
and the hiking and outdoor activities in the area are endless.

After being in the mountains and out in the country for so long Spokane was welcome change.
We really enjoyed the parks, river and water falls downtown

Neat art work too.

They have done a great job of saving many of the older buildings along the river like this old flower mill and repurposing them as offices, shops and restaurants.

Below is the old power and water building

Leaving the Coeur d' Alene area we head further east stopping off in Polson Montana.
Why Polson you may ask? Well Polson is home to the "Miracle of America Museum".

You're probably saying, gee guys  that sounds awesome.

Well, I'll attach a couple of photos and let you decide.

They have everything from airplanes to helicopters to tanks

Some people call this a Pickers Paradise

What do you think?

For the ten dollar price of admission this roadside attraction was .... interesting

Eastward bound.
Yonder lies Glacier National Park!!
